Joseph Georgie

Biography

Joseph Georgie is Director, EMEA, Global Financial Institutions Group based in Toronto, Canada.

Joseph joined Bank of Montreal in 1974 and held a variety of positions in the Montreal area, including roles in commercial marketing, the Chief Accountant Office and planning and forecasting.

In 1987, he moved to International Credit and was responsible for the reviews of European and Middle Eastern banks. In 1990, Joseph joined the International Financial Institutions group, and has been responsible for client relations and marketing, beginning with North Africa and expanding to the Middle East, Turkey and India.

In 2012, Joseph joined as the General Manager, Regional Representative Office, Abu Dhabi / UAE until September 2016.

Joseph studied Chemical Engineering in the UK and graduated in 1971 from Huddersfield Polytechnic. In 1980, he graduated from Concordia University, Montreal in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Accounting.

Prior to joining BMO, Joseph worked in Montreal with Warnock Hersey and International Paints as a chemist.
