SUMMARY:Canada-KSA Education Partnership Forum
DESCRIPTION:Objective: \nThe Embassy of Canada to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia will host the Canada-KSA Education Partnership Forum between May 5 to 7\, 2024. \nThe objective of this forum is to bring together leading education institutions from Canada and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to explore possibilities for institutional partnerships related to (but not limited to) joint-study programs\, collaborative research\, curriculum development\, student and faculty exchanges or technical and vocational training. \nFew key sectors of interest for partnerships will include: \n\nInformation technology;\nTourism & hospitality;\nHealthcare;\nOil & Gas;\nAgriculture.\n\nThe first two editions of this forum successfully took place in Dubai and brought together over 130 delegates representing education institutions from Canada\, the UAE\, and the MENA region. Education is an important sector in Bahrain. \nIn line with the country’s Vision 2030\, given the skills shortage\, the focus is on enhancing technical and vocational education and training in specialized fields related to STEM\, fintech\, cybersecurity\, petroleum engineering etc. \nForum Format: Presentation from the Ministry of Higher Education in Bahrain on market and sector\, followed by meetings between Canadian and Bahraini education stakeholders.
