Pierre Seïn Pyun was appointed Vice President, Government Affairs in October 2011. As such, he is responsible for government affairs for Bombardier in Canada and internationally. His team also manages industrial affairs for the company.
A lawyer by training, Mr. Pyun has significant background in international trade, having served with the Canadian federal government from 1998 to 2011. Prior to joining Bombardier, Mr. Pyun managed sector practices and developed and implemented global commercial strategies for the Canadian government in Ottawa. Furthermore, he worked at Canadian diplomatic posts in China from 2001-2009, including as a Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.
Mr. Pyun holds degrees in civil law and common law from McGill University and completed a Certificate in International Commerce at the University of Montreal. He is fluent in English, French, Mandarin and Korean.
Mr. Pyun sits on the board of directors of several organizations, including the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation, the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, the Canada Arab Business Council and the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations.
