Awish Aslam, PhD Candidate in the Sociology Department at the University of Western Ontario, is conducting her PhD project titled, “Second-Generation Canadian Muslim Women and their Work Experiences”. The purpose of this study is to better understand the work experiences of second-generation Canadian Muslim women both in and outside of the home. The researchers are looking to conduct interviews to not only to uncover the social-structural challenges these women face but to also learn about the strategies that some women use to establish successful careers. Participants will be asked to take part in an audio-recorded interview and to complete a demographic questionnaire that will help provide context to their responses. Interested?
