In partnership with the Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), this CABC coordinated conference focussed on Canada’s way to harness the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

Attended by over 300 persons at the Rotman School of Management, the conference highlighted potential challenges and opportunities for the 4IR in Canada; identified possible partnerships between private sector, academia or other civil society actors; flagged critical national, regional and global-level actions to strengthen the social, economic and environmental benefits of manufacturing and industrialization; identified effective and promising multi-stakeholder initiatives; and promoted the next Summit in order to align 4IR and manufacturing activities more closely with progress towards UN Sustainable Development Goals.
