LEBANESE WINE HERITAGE TO CANADA

The Canada Arab Business Council proudly supports the Embassy of Lebanon to Canada and the Ministry of Agriculture in Lebanon on this exclusive webinar titled Lebanese Wine Heritage to Canada.

On September 2020, the remains of a 2,600-year old winery press were discovered during an archeological dig at Tell el-Burak, a Lebanese city that lies close to the Mediterranean sea in what would have been an ancient Phoenician homeland as reported by National Geographic. In his conversation with National Geographic, University of Toronto archeologist Stephen Batiuk stated that Phoenicians are credited with the spreading of wine and olive oil throughout the Mediterranean.

Lebanon is renowned by its exquisite special wine produced in favorable sun and soil conditions, expertise and mostly an ancient heritage that blends all together to create a masterpiece of taste and distinction.
